When does each course start?

There are two ways to take the Ecological Economics and the Simulation Modeling courses.

  1. Without Credit: All the content is available for free on this site allowing anyone to take the course on their own, with no charge.  This option is available at all times and does not have a start date.
  2. With Credit: If you require credit, or if you are planning on earning the certificate, then you have to register through the University of Vermont and take the courses during specified semesters.  The Ecological Economics course will be next offered Spring of 2009 and Simulation Modeling course will be offered Fall 2008.

What is the cost for each online course for Out-of-State/Country participants?

If you choose to take the the course for credit, University of Vermont tuition charges apply which can be found here.

Where can I find a listing of all the available, relevant online courses for the Ecological Economics Certificate?

All courses and their descriptions for the EE certificate can be found here.  Currently two of these required courses are available online, Ecological Economics and Simulation Modeling.

Where can I find a listing of all the available, relevant online courses for the Ecological Design Certificate?

All courses and their descriptions for the EE certificate can be found here.  Unfortunately, none of the courses for this certificate are currently online, we hope to get some of the core requirements within the next year.

How often are new courses expected to be posted online that would fit the competencies?

Currently only the Ecological Economics and Simulation Modeling courses are offered online.  We are hoping to put up more of the required and competency courses up online within the next year.
